THURSDAY, FEB. 13.

The resolution above stated as having been submitted by Mr. Tait, having been amended by adding the words "and York river," after "Hampton Roads," was agreed to.

Mr. Roberts, from the committee of claims, made an unfavorable report on the petition of Simon Sarrazin and J. B. Aubert, of Baton Rouge, in the State of Louisiana.

The bill "to authorize the State of Tennessee to issue grants and perfect titles on certain entries and locations of lands therein described," was reported by the committee of public lands, with amendments.

The motion of Mr. Troup to instruct the proper committee to inquire into the expediency of making the town of Darien a port of entry, was taken up and agreed to.

Mr. Roberts, from the committee of claims, made an unfavorable report on the petition of A. J. Villard.
