LOUISVILLE, Ky.-(SNS)
The Rev. A. W. Jackson, who is known as one of the best Greek scholars among the AME ministers in this section of the country, and who was returned last week as presiding elder of the Paducah District by Bishop R. C. Ransom, at the annual conference in Bowling Green, Ky., has received very strong endorsement for the Bishopric in 1940 by all three conferences in Kentucky and by those in Ohio as well.
Bishop Flipper has also endorsed him very highly for the same. The Rev. Dr. Jackson left this week for the Tennessee conference where he is certain of having the approval of all the conferences there for the highest office in the church.
Reverends Hughes and Clark, presiding elders of the East Kentucky and Louisville districts, were re-assigned to the districts by Bishop Ransom just week.
Manon is the new pastor of the AME Church in Louisville.
A. E. Spilliman, L. A. H., T. J. Young are returned to Asbury Chapel, St. James, Young's Chapel.
