COL. WILLIAM H. HALL NOT A CANDIDATE FOR CONGRESS

Hartford, Conn., May 18.--William H. Hall of Willington announced today while at the capitol that he was not a candidate for the republican nomination for congress from the Second district and said he had notified the chairman of senatorial districts to that effect. He said, however, that he would again be candidate for re-election to the general assembly either as representative or senator.

He has been a legislator more terms than any other man in Connecticut.
