Church Group Hold Workers Conference
Teachers And Officers Of St. Paul's Methodist Church Discuss School Program.

A "Workers Conference" for the teachers and officers of St. Paul's Methodist Church School was held Monday evening in the private dining room at the Hager House. Forty-one persons were in attendance. Professor John D. Zentmyer, chairman of the local board of Christian Education, presided.

The purpose of the dinner meeting was to acquaint the teachers and officers with the whole program of the Church School and to have them hear Dr. W. W. Delaplain, the Baltimore Conference Director of Religious Education.

The Invocation was given by Mr. Ralph Wyand, secretary of the Church School, after which the Rev. Norman L. Trott, the pastor, explained the purpose of the conference.

Miss Josephine Morrow told the group about the plan of absentee follow-ups now in operation, and she was followed by George McAdams, assistant secretary, who gave some comparable figures on Sunday School attendance, indicating that the average attendance is more than 20 per cent beyond that of last year.

Mr. Walter Daniels, chairman of the church building committee, told of the plans to renovate and remodel a portion of the Church School plant this summer. Miss Lillian Glanden, Director of Religious Education, then called attention to the Daily Vacation Bible School plans, and Mrs. Howard Spessard reported on the Church School library recently installed as a gift of the Golden Rule Bible Class, and also told of plans for a "Visual Aids" library. Mr. C. P. Chidester was then introduced as the new assistant superintendent.

Dr. Delaplain then spoke on the importance of serving as a Church School teacher or officer.
