Five persons, three of them children, drowned Saturday when their car ran into a canal south of Florida City.
The drowning victims were in a car driven by James Brown, of Redland Road, Florida City, which went into a canal along Tallahassee Road, three miles south of Florida City Canal.
Perry Brannon, Dade City accident investigator, identified the victims as Janie Williamson, of 1145 NW 8th ave., Florida City; her daughter, Geneva, 11; her niece, Mary Lou Scott, 12; her nephew, Alex Lee Scott, 10, and the driver, Brown.
The victims were migratory farm workers who came here from Andrews, S. C. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the House of Albert.
