Full Text

Western Election.--Further returns, but not official, reduce the majority of Metcalf in Kentucky to about 1500. The Senate is equally divided, in the House, a majority of five supposed for Jackson. The Lieut. Gov. is probably the Jackson candidate. Indiana has elected three Administration members to Congress. It is doubtful whether Ray, or the Jackson candidate is elected Governor. The Legislature will be decidedly for the Administration. In Missouri, the probability seems to be that a decided Jackson man has been elected over Mr. Bates whose course in Congress was partly for and partly against the Administration. Mr. Duncan, the Jackson member from Illinois, is undoubtedly re-elected.--Ib.
