Full Text
By a list of the troops of the empress-queen it appears, that the forces of the house of Austria are greatly superior to those of Prussia, if they make the same appearance in the field as they do on paper. In Bohemia and Moravia alone, the Austrian troops are computed at 99,000 men, viz. 5,700 dragoons, 67,500 foot, 10,600 cuirassiers, 3,650 hussars, and 12,150 croats and Slavonians. This number of troops is, however, in fact, not actually assembled; nineteen regiments of foot being computed as present in the camp of Collin, whereas but fourteen are as yet arrived. The dragoons also, tho' the most complete of the Austrian troops, form a very imperfect corps.
