PROVIDENCE, June 21. The western post informs, that on Wednesday last two frigates and four transports, in their passage from New York to Newport, landed some men at Old Guilford, in Connecticut, where they stole and carried off 15 head of cattle, a few logs, and a small quantity of poultry; they also burnt a house, and two barns. The militia assembled to oppose them, but before they could reach the place the enemy had hastily embarked, and set sail immediately for Newport, where they arrived on Thursday.
