1. All the Treaties of the Alliance, Friendship, and Guaranty, formerly made between the high Contractors, and also the Conventions concerning Trade, are renew'd and confirm'd by this Treaty.
His Danish Majesty engages himself to keep, during Three Years, 2000 Foot, and 1000 Horse, in Readiness for the Service of Great-Britain, so that they may always be in a Condition to march within Two Months after Notice given: But, if Great-Britain's immediate Defence be the Business in Hand, those Troops shall begin their March upon the first Summons they receive.
If his Danish Majesty should find himself obliged, at the same Time to send Auxiliary Troops to any Neighbouring Power or Powers, in Alliance with him, his Britannick Majesty in Consideration of the great Expences in keeping the Danish Troops, engages himself to pay Eighty Crowns for every Trooper, and Thirty for each Foot Soldier, of which one Half is to be paid after the making a Convention on that Head, and the other Half as soon as the Troops enter into the Service of Great-Britain.
His Britannick Majesty likewise engages to pay Three Years successively, the Sum of 250,000 Bank Crowns per Ann. upon Condition that his Danish Majesty will be contented with 150,000 Crowns a Year, from the Day on which the said Troops enter into the Service and Pay of Great-Britain:
