New York, Oct. 25.—The following correspondence has taken place between gentlemen of this city and Hon. James G. Blaine:

The undersigned, with other Republican friends, request the pleasure of your company at dinner at Delmonico's of this city, on any evening of the coming week that may best suit your convenience.
