TO MAKE SELECTION OF DISPLAYS FOR INTERNATIONAL SHOW AT CHICAGO
Plan Decided Upon at Meeting With Agricultural Commission in Helena; Program of Co-operation for State's Development Outlined.
Aiming at a method by which railroads, state officials and other interests might co-operate toward effective development of Montana's agricultural resources, representatives of the Northern Pacific, Great Northern and Milwaukee railways met recently at Helena with A. H. Stafford, new commissioner of agriculture.
Selection of Montana exhibits for the annual international livestock hay and grain show was considered. It was decided to send an agricultural expert through the state to select displays.
Attention also was given a possible program for making use of land resources, for settlement of lands and for development of such industries as can manufacture byproducts from farm crops. Another meeting will be held in October to outline systematic procedure for these plans.
The railway officials, L. A. Campbell of the Northern Pacific, O. D. Greenfield of the Great Northern and Ralph W. Reynolds of the Milwaukee, attended the gathering at the invitation of Mr. Stafford.
