Factory Burnt. On Saturday night the 5th inst., about 11 o'clock, the Dan Shop, attached to the Woolen Factory of Wakelee & Shelton, in Huntington, was discovered to be on fire; and so rapid was the progress of the flames; that before any assistance could be procured, the fire spread through the main building, which was consumed together with all its contents, including the books and papers of the firm, and a considerable quantity of wool, belonging to different individuals, which had been sent to the factory to be carded, dc. One of the dye kettles had been in use during the day, but every precaution was taken to extinguish the fire. Loss estimated at about $5,000, no insurance.—Bridgeport Farmer.
