Full Text

We have received the prospectus for the publication, on the 1st of January next, of a new weekly paper at Elizabethtown, Kentucky, which will be the first democratic paper that has ever been issued in Hardin county. Its editorial management will be in the hands of Robert S. Forde, esq., a gentleman in every way qualified to make a good fight against the enemies of the constitution and the Union. It is exceedingly gratifying to us to learn from the prospectus that, whilst the democracy have always heretofore been in a minority in that county, recent elections have plainly demonstrated that it can achieve success in the future. We hear of the advent of another democratic county paper in the Commonwealth Kentucky with unfeigned pleasure.
