DRAMATIC READINGS BY MISS MARIE EVANS

Miss Marie Evans will entertain her guests at Knights of Columbus Hall on Friday evening, Aug. 23rd, with short dramatic sketches, among them being the sleep walking scene from Macbeth.

The Monticello News says of this:

Miss Evans, in rendering the 'sleep walking scene' from Macbeth, permitted many people to witness a refined and artistic example of tragic acting for the first time. Most actors or actresses in a similar role spoil, by mouthing and ranting, the chance for fine work. This scene was magnificently done by Miss Evans, without any suggestion of over acting or straining for effect.
