By all Report it appears that the French Officers were not able to make their Men stand at the Battle of Crefeld. Our Troops fought like Men of Honour. After the Battle was over, Prince Ferdinand went to the Head of every Regiment, and thanked them for their good Behaviour. The young Prince of Brunswick had two Horses killed under him. You can't imagine with what Alacrity the Country People enlist in our Service: they go to fight the French with as cheerful Countenances as if they were going to a Wedding.
