ELECTRIC RY. IN JAPAN

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (AP)—Electrification of some 350 miles of main lines of the Japanese government railway forms a part of the industrial program providing for many public improvements adopted in Japan, was stated here by T. Oganara of Tokio, assistant director of the government railway engineering bureau.

Oganara heads a group of five Japanese railway officials in this country to purchase electric equipment for the new system. During their stay they will inspect hydroelectric plants, electric plants, electric railways and the establishments of the leading manufacturers of electric equipment.
