An Immigration and Improvement Society Organized.

MIDDLEBOURNE, W. VA., March 24 - Pursuant to call a meeting was held in the Court house to-day for the purpose of organizing a County Auxiliary to the State Immigration and Development Association. Capt. Powell was elected President and J. W. Barnes Secretary. Committees were appointed on permanent organization and resolutions. The Committee on Permanent Organization recommended that the Society be called the Tyler County Immigration and Improvement Society, with a president, six vice presidents, secretaries, and a treasurer and a central committee composed of three members, whose duty it shall be to prepare for publication a true and fair statement of the resources of this county and the advantages to accrue to immigrants who may wish to settle among us. Full and appropriate resolutions were adopted. The following officers were elected: President, Seimon Wells; Vice Presidents, William Morris, O. W. O. Hardman, Ashford Broadwater, D. D. Johnson, A. L. Corbin and John C. Morrison; Recording Secretary, J. W. Barnes; Corresponding Secretary, W. E. Swan; Treasurer, W. M. Powell.
