Our "Influential" Citizens.—Our oldest and most influential citizens have been very active lately. Every person who is an aspirant for office, and their name is legion, has, as he says, "been waited upon by some of the oldest and most influential citizens of our county, requesting him to be a candidate, and he has therefore, on their urgent solicitations, reluctantly consented to suffer his name to be used." Alpine Chronicle. Very much the same case in Trinity. See several new announcements made to-day.
