WANT SOUTH IN THE CABINET.
Republicans in Congress Wire Advice to President-elect.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 10.-A drive to bring about the appointment of a Southern man in President Harding's cabinet has been begun by Southern Republicans in congress. Representatives and Senator-elect Uarrell of Oklahoma despatched a telegram to President-elect Harding, declaring he was "much disturbed" at "the possibility of the South not being represented in the cabinet. At the same time, Representative Slemp of Virginia, who is also Republican national committeeman, declared in a statement that it would be "a fearful mistake if Senator Harding doesn't recognize the genuine sentiment toward Republicanism in the south."
