CUBAN RAILROAD STRIKERS SEEK AMERICAN AID
Workers Appeal for Help to Win Strike
(Special to The Daily Worker)
WASHINGTON, June 11.-Railroad workers of Cuba, whose organization affiliated some months ago with the Pan-American Federation of Labor of which William Green, president of the American Federation of Labor, is the head, have cabled Green a protest against violent acts by the Cuban government officials against their striking members.
The Cuban railroads concelled an agreement with their employes, on the ground that rates had been cut. The union proposed mediation by the government. This failed, and a month later the strike was called. Government forces have tried to break the strike by terrorism.
