Full Text

The Slave Case in Perpetuo.—We apprehend the Recorder intends to oblige Dixon, the pretended slave of Dr. Allendar, to serve out the remainder of his days in listening to the lengthy discussions of law upon his case. On Saturday the unfortunate negro was again doomed to sit and hear a most uninteresting and prosy debate on the merits of his case, which terminated, as usual, in his being remanded for a further hearing. The Court of Chancery has hitherto borne away the bell for prolixity, but now it will no longer remain without a rival. The Recorder's Court of Inquiry will soon beat it hollow.
