Revival Intelligence.—A correspondent of one of the secular daily papers gives the following account of the revival in Cincinnati; and we publish it, not merely for the information it presents, but as one of the signs of the times, that in the midst of political news, such intelligence is now communicated as important even in the estimation of the world. "About Christmas last, the work of the Lord was sensibly manifested, and during the three succeeding months, I should think from the information I have, that at the least two thousand made a good profession of their faith in Christ Jesus, and were added to the communions of the different churches.—Much the largest proportion were in connexion with the Methodist, the next in proportion the Baptists, and then the Episcopal and Presbyterians, and still the work of grace is going on, and additions continue to be made to the army of the Lord, but not in such large numbers as during the period to which I have referred, when they came over as it were by companies to enlist under the banner of the Captain of their salvation. To the Christian heart it has been a season of unspeakable joy, and deep, deep gratitude and thanksgiving."
