Look at the Developments. Among the strange incidents which occurred at Washington during the discussion of the tariff bill, was the presentation to the Senate of a memorial from Pennsylvania, by Mr. Cameron, the first signer of which was Mr. Wright, President of the Democratic Baltimore Convention, in which it is stated that, if Mr. Polk had been supposed to be inimical to the tariff of 1842, he would not have received the nomination of that body to the Presidency.
