Dr. Stocklen Speaker At T-B Meeting
Dr. Joseph B. Stocklen of Cleveland, Ohio, will be the principal speaker at the annual meeting of the Anti-Tuberculosis League of King County on Tuesday, June 18, Richard S. White, 833 36th N., League president, announced. The hour and place of meeting will be announced later.
Dr. Stocklen, a member of the board of directors of the National Tuberculosis Association, is controller of tuberculosis, Cuyahoga County, Cleveland. He is medical superintendent of Sunny Acres Hospital and assistant clinical professor of medicine and preventive medicine, Western Reserve University, as well as visiting physician, Lowman Pavilion, Cleveland City Hospital.
In addition, Dr. Stocklen is a past president of the Ohio Tuberculosis and Health Association and a member of the American Trudeau Society, the medical section of the National Tuberculosis Association.
Twelve persons will be elected at the meeting to serve on the League's board of directors until 1959. Board members whose terms expire this year are: Mrs. Neil D. Adams, 10736 20th N.E.; Frank Anderson, 11821 Glendale Way; Mrs. Howard H. Bothell, 1425 17th S.E., Auburn; Dr. Ernest F. Ching, 1305 12th S.; Miss Anne Denton, 703 Bellevue N.; Miss Elizabeth Hazard, 832 E. 56th; Rabbi R. H. Levine, 1645 10th N.; Cecil W. Mason, 9341 Vineyard Crest, Bellevue; Mrs. Charles G. Miller, 4603 2nd N.E.; Dr. Milton J. Miller, 6225 Lake Shore Dr.; Dr. Helene M. Templeton, 6523 50th N.E.; and Mrs. Carl O. Wigen, 5611 20th N.W.
Directors whose term of office runs until 1958 are: John Amend, 11205 3rd S.; W. J. Billings, 845 Bellevue N.; C. Gordon Dodd, 3710 41st S.; Dr. Byron F. Francis, 5605 Beach Drive; Dr. Sydney J. Hawley, 2020 43rd N.; Dr. E. Harold Laws, 3019 38th W.; Russel A. Pearson, 2707 Belvidere; Dr. Erroll W. Rawson, 1126 Federal; Dr. Kazimer B. Skubi, 3880 43rd N.E.; Charles I. Stone, 155 N. 145th; Robert G. Zener, 7900 Overlake Drive, Medina; and White.
Miss Honoria Hughes, 2534 37th W., is executive director of the organization.
