Nine Men Have Parts in Wax Works—Seat Sale Now 800.
More than 800 tickets have been sold for "Mrs. Jarley's Wax Works," which will be presented next Tuesday evening in the University Auditorium, under the auspices of the Association of Collegiate Alumnae. Part of the proceeds of the comedy will be given to a fund for the proposed Women's Building, and some of the money will be used in making Homecoming Week a big success for the University alumnae.
Special costumes have been ordered from Kansas City and St. Louis, and the "All Star" cast includes twenty-five persons, nine of whom are men.
The Mrs. Jarley in the comedy is left on her own resources after the death of her husband, and she decides to exhibit the famous wax works which he squandered his fortune to collect. She comes to Columbia directly from a prolonged engagement in London.
