Full Text

House Moving.—Mr. Bunker of Lowell, Mass., who recently, and so successfully removed the large three story Mansion House, with two stacks of chimneys standing, from Boylston to Front street, near half a mile over paving stones, has just removed a large dwelling house from its foundation on Northampton street, 10 or 15 feet. It had two stacks of chimneys, and with the wings measured 101 feet. Two families remained in the house and pursued their domestic affairs as usual. So safe and quickly did Mr. Bunker perform his work, that the females belonging to the house, sat at the chamber window sewing every day, as unconcerned during the removal, as though nothing of the kind was in operation.
