Race Association to Meet in Houston

HOUSTON, TEXAS- (ANP)- The Annual Meeting of the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History will assemble at Texas Southern University here on October 26-28.

The Association is meeting in its 41st Annual session having been organized by the late Carter G. Woodson in Chicago in 1915.

The president of the Association is Dr. Charles H. Wesley, president of Central State College, Wilberforce, Ohio.

Albert N. Brooks of the District of Columbia Public Schools and editor of the Negro History Bulletin is secretary-treasurer.

A large delegation of representatives of the Social Science Departments of colleges and universities will be in attendance at these sessions as participants in discussions and plans for the future.
