A despatch from Omaha, dated July 29, says: The storm of last night was more severe than was at first supposed. Roads and bridges in many places were washed away, and the crops in many places destroyed. The track of the Union Pacific Railroad was washed away in several places between here and Gilmor Station, ten miles distant. At one place a stream swelled to such an extent that the water carried a quarter of a mile of track bodily over a fence of four feet high, landing it a short distance on the prairie.
