The 1959 records of the Clark College Panthers, Morris Brown Wolverines and tradition point to another big Turkey Day thriller for Atlanta football fans, Thursday afternoon, at Herndon Memorial Stadium. Kick-off time will be 2 o'clock.
Of the 30 Thanksgiving games played since the series' inauguration in 1929, Morris Brown has won 20; Clark 7, and three games were tied. Along the way, the fans have been treated to thrills galore. The game played last year was almost a carbon-copy of the 1946 contest. Fans will recall that a year ago, Morris Brown's kicking specialist, Albert Sharpe booted a 15-yard field goal with a minute and 30 seconds to play to put the game in the bag.
Clark's 5-0-2 record includes two first division victories, and the unbeaten Panthers have rolled up 135 points while limiting their opponents to 100. Fans, who saw the Panthers in action against Savannah State last week were convinced they will be able to match the Wolverines both on the ground and in the air lanes.
MORRIS BROWN'S
RECORD 5-3-0
Morris Brown's 5-3-0 record includes three first division victories, and the Purple Wolverines have scored a total of 141 points, while limiting their opponents to 55.
