To Hear Bowden
The baccalaureate services for the
graduating class of Booker T. Washington High School will be held at
5:30 p. m., today, at the City Auditorium, with Captain H. J. C. Bowden,
chaplain, Veterans Administration Hospital, Tuskegee, Alabama
and former rector at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, delivering the sermon.
Principal C. N. Cornell will preside.
The services will open with a fifty-minute prelude of music by the
Booker T. Washington High School
Band, with Bandmaster Earl Starling conducting.
COMMENCEMENT FRIDAY NIGHT
The commencement exercises will be held on Friday evening, at 8:30 o'clock, at the City Auditorium, at which time E. S. Cook, president of the Atlanta Board of Education will deliver the principal address and award diplomas to the 575 members of the graduating class. Miss Ira Jarrell, superintendent of the Atlanta Public Schools will preside.
Members of the graduating class will present panel based on "One World."
