Approximately 45 lots in the Federal and Cliff Additions were sold at public auction today by Victor Fischer, federal townsite planner from the Anchorage office.
The sale, conducted in the city hall was attended by about 60 interested local residents and several Anchorage real estate men. All parcels were started at a minimum sale price ranging from $10 to $50. Several lots brought as much as double the appraised minimum, most of the higher priced lots were taken by local bidders, however, except in the Cliff addition.
