Full Text

This morning a boy, about 12 or 13 years of age, named Benjamin Lee, who had been previously indicted and convicted of manslaughter, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment in the State Prison, at hard labor. The person killed by him was another boy of about the same age, named Edward Farrell. His death was occasioned by Lee's throwing a large stone at Farrell, which struck him in the head. Let this be a warning to the many small and large boys who are so much in the habit of throwing stones at each other, or at random in our city.
