Full Text

Episcopacy Appealing to the Bible.

The following passage from the Episcopal Recorder, we hope will meet the eye of our correspondent —. An examination from his pen of all the passages in the New Testament, which relate to the officers of the church, would show how little foundation there is for this claim of Episcopacy to the Scriptural argument.

"We consider beyond all question that the Scriptural argument favors Episcopacy, alone And however limited or inferential that argument may appear to be, it is the whole teaching of the Scriptures upon that subject ; and we are to abide by it as the mind of the Spirit in reference to this matter."
