Full Text
The Globe, with a dictatorial air, and the Bay State Democrat, with coarse malignity, have made great fuss in hot weather, because Mr. Henshaw and Mr. Nelson, heretofore good and true Democrats, have taken places in Mr. Tyler's Cabinet, and because a multitude of their Democratic fellow-citizens have approved of the step. To us, the course of these prints seems as injudicious as it is unwarranted. Mr. Nelson is as good a Democrat as Mr. Blair, and the Democracy of Massachusetts put as high a value on Mr. Henshaw as on Boanerges of the Bay State Democrat. Neither of these editors has a right to dictate, ex cathedra, as to what the Democracy shall do with regard to Mr. Nelson or Mr. Henshaw.—
