A family living in the second loft of a house in Water-Street, caught the disorder--there were a father, mother, and two small children. The family living under them; in the same house, knew that their neighbour was in distress but, for fear of the contagion's communicating to their apartment, did not visit them. The fourth day after they were supposed to have received the disorder, the lower family frequently heard the cry of a child-on which the master of it was induced to venture into the apartment--where he beheld the father, mother, and one child-A corpse :-On the bed beside the mother, lay the wretched infant, endeavouring to draw sustenance from the putrid breast of its dead parent ! it died also the next day.
