Oswalt Injured
In Car Accident

J. Sterling Oswalt, former chief of police in El Centro, is at home today recovering from a deep gash in his scalp, suffered when he was thrown against the top of a car in which he was riding in Los Angeles as the car jolted upon striking an uneven place in the road.

Oswalt was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment. Three stitches were taken in his scalp and he was removed to El Centro where he was rapidly recovering today. He was asleep when the car in which he was riding bounced, causing his injury, he told friends.
