Full Text
Nearly all the prominent alliance men have repudiated the subtreasury scheme, but sockless Jerry and hairy Peffer still hold on to the theory and their fat offices: Rice, Tillman, Moore and Taubeneck are each out with a kick against this transparent fraud. The fact is, that not one alliance man in a hundred is in favor of the scheme, but most of them will say, "We must keep something of this kind in our platform in order to hold a certain element which is numerous if not very honest."
