Full Text

By some letters found on board a ship from New-York, bound to Ireland, lately captured by Capt. John Buffinton, in the privateer ship Marquis de la Fayette, of this port, we find, that the "King's Friends," as they are termed, at Charlestown, were labouring under great anxiety of mind, and deplored the wretched condition into which they expected to be thrown by the approaching evacuation of that place. The humanity and tender feelings of Sir Guy, under the accumulated distresses into which they were soon to be plunged, were their only consolations.
