Arrest of an Indiana Man for Perjury.-Edward A. Smith, one of the "horse men" who came up from Memphis, and who was interested in Nell Gwynn and several other racers, was arrested at the race-track on Friday, on a requisition from the Governor of Indiana, in the hands of Marshal John E. Harrison, of Seymour. He is charged with perjury in swearing in a suit before the Marion Criminal Court, involving some $10,000. Yesterday he was taken before Judge Cary on a writ of habeas corpus, but failed to secure a release. He will be taken to Indianapolis to-day by Marshal Harrison.
