County Boy Takes Life
William Thompson, Tired of Country,
Blows His Heart Out.

QUITMAN, Ga.—News has been received here that William Thompson, 16-year-old son of Arthur Thompson, prominent farmer six miles west of here, committed suicide by shooting a load of a shot gun through his heart. The boy was tired of the life on the farm and made an effort to run away recently. His father went after him and persuaded him to return. He confided to a negro on the farm that he was despondent as to the future and would kill himself.

According to evidence brought out at the coroner's inquest he left the house to go hunting. He went to the place where his father fed the hogs every afternoon and blew his heart out.
