Full Text

Shot Her Father.

MILWAUKEE, Wis., July 2.—John Goodrich, aged fifty-six years, was shot and fatally wounded by his daughter Lizzie, aged twenty-six, at the family home just outside the western limits of the city last night. The girl says her father came home drunk and began flourishing a revolver and that in the struggle to get possession of the weapon he was shot. The location of the wound, which is in the back just above the hips, is not favorable to her story and the young woman was put under arrest. Goodrich was confined at the Kankakee, Ill., insane asylum a few years ago but had recovered his mental health.
