An Infant Burned to Death--On Friday night last an infant of Perry G. Bream's, aged five months, was burned to death in Covington, Ky. The mother laid it on a pillow asleep, in front of the fire, and left the room to attend to her household affairs. Returning in about fifteen minutes, she found the babe burned to a crisp, and the clothes, pillow and carpet burning. For a moment the doting mother stood paralyzed, as she viewed the corpse of her infant. The next moment a shriek of anguish portrayed too truly the affection of the mother. The neighbors rushed in and affrightedly beheld the shocking scene. It is supposed that a spark of fire flew into the child's clothes, which soon spread into a flame.
