A Sad Tragedy.—On Friday morning, Mr. Joseph Bebon, a highly respectable resident of Brooklyn, N. Y., died from the effects of stabs received at the hands of his son, Joseph, Jr., on the 19th ult. It appears that a difficulty had existed some time between the deceased and his son, arising from the marriage of the latter to a woman who was very much disliked by his father's family, as alleged, on account of her violent and ungoverned temper, and which led to the expulsion of the son from his father's residence. On the evening of Sunday, the 19th ult., the wife of Joseph, Jr., according to the affidavit of the deceased, made two days afterward, was in front of the house of her father-in-law, using very abusive language toward him and his wife. Mr. B. went into the street, took her by the hand, and expostulated with her, when her husband, Joseph, Jr., came up and stabbed his father three times in the arm.—The wounds thus received resulted in his death, as above stated. The deceased owned considerable property, to which Joseph is the only heir. The latter is under arrest.
