Cold, Rainy Weather Conducive to Malady, Which
Is Very Prevalent

Numerous cases of influenza exist in Henderson and Vance county at the present time, but definite information was lacking as to whether or not it is on the increase or on the wane.

A number of new cases have developed in the past few days, however. Many have had the disease in the past several weeks and recovered, but it is known that there is still quite much of it about.

Very few cases of an extremely serious nature have been reported, but those that have developed have been bad enough to keep patients confined to their beds for several days, keeping them away from their work and from all outdoor activities.
