Runaway Accident.--On Wednesday evening about dusk three or four residents of Hall Township in this county, who had been in town helping to pay the government debt by imbibing a little of the highest taxed article in the country, until they began to feel pretty good, started for their homes, and on the south side of Patoka near the bridge, started to run a horse race, and while running at full speed Mr. James Connor was thrown from his horse against a tree, injuring him severely, a big hole being cut in his right side where it came in contact with the tree. He was carried to Rich's hotel and his injuries dressed.
