CANADA ANNEXATION.

Several of the English papers speak favorably of dissolving the connection between the mother country and Canada. The London Examiner says.--"We hesitate not to say that if we and the North American Colonies can part in peace and friendship, the departure would undoubtedly be a gain to both parties, but more especially to ourselves."

Some other prints, the London Times particularly, indulge in opprobrious remarks on their Canada brethren. The Montreal Herald says in reference to them: "The Times, in this opprobrious language, only speaks the sentiments of Downing street, we have every reason to believe. If these sentiments are endorsed by the people of England, through their representatives in Parliament, then, indeed, few Canadians--English or French, Conservative or liberal--will hesitate between the humiliating condition of despised and insulted Colonists, and the friendly "embraces of the neighboring republic."
