Thanksgiving Baskets
Given To 70 Families

Thanksgiving baskets were distributed to at least 70 families in East Hartford this year, according to an unofficial check. Some of the organizations distributing the baskets were the St. Mary's Guild, Exchange Club, Girl Scouts affiliated with the Burnside Methodist Church, St. Mary's Church and First Congregational Church; Boy Scouts and King's Daughters of the South Congregational Church; Primary Department of the First Church Sunday School; Center Methodist Church and St. Rose's Catholic Church. Mrs. Richard McGowan had charge of the St. Mary's Guild distribution and those arranged by the Exchange Club were in charge of A. Gideon Milne and Charles Marks.
