Boulder Dam to Be Debated

Several El Centro residents are expected to attend the debate to be held in San Diego tomorrow night on "The Boulder Dam." This debate will be held at the open forum conducted in the lecture hall at San Diego with the Arizona state college team assuming the negative and the San Diego normal team the affirmative side of the question.

It is expected that the debate will bring out practically every point in favor of the project as well as the dissenting factors. A lively battle is predicted and with the Boulder dam project creating interest throughout several western states it is believed that a record crowd will attend the battle.

The political end of the project will not be discussed by the students. They will tackle the question only on its value to the residents of the states which it affects. Following the debate, the contestants will answer questions of the audience relative to the project.

Gilbert Preston of the local irrigation offices will attend the debate.
