During the present session of the District Court in this town, the following persons have been arraigned as criminals.
Richard Pearl, from Stafford, for larceny, sentenced to one years confinement in the Penitentiary.
Alexander Burke, from Culpeper, for murder, acquitted.
Azariah Lansley, from Spotsylvania, for negro stealing, sentenced to seven years confinement in the Penitentiary.
Robert Campbell, from Culpeper, for horse stealing, sentenced to five years confinement in the Penitentiary.
Allen Jones, from Stafford, for murder, sentenced to 6 months confinement in the Penitentiary; but recommended to the mercy of the court.
William Stratton, from Spotsylvania, for the murder of his father—acquitted.
Richard Pitcher, from Stafford, for rape,—sentenced for thirteen years and nine months confinement in the Penitentiary.
