Full Text
Mr. Pickering continues his efforts to sap the credit of his country, and to degrade it in the eyes of foreign nations. If our national reputation and our republican institutions can be in the least degree injured by the impotent and contemptible ravings of this hoary-headed dotard and jacobin, they must indeed be feeble, and not worth defending. When the majority of the people of a state voluntarily confide their interests to the care of such a bedlamite, and a man so devoid of regard for his country, they must be in a deplorable state of mind.
